Ofcourse I was very delighted to see Colombia grab their first victory in this run for the World Cup Qualification. I try to see as many games as I would like, but since I live in Holanda and their are very little stream links, it is hard to see all the matches. I now use http://www.rojadirecta.com ,if anybody has other suggestions? Anyways, tonights game against Argentina is to be a very tough one. But hopefully with a crazy uplifting croud and inspirated players we can keep our sheet clean and hope for a late goal. How wonderfull it would be to close this serie of games with a win over Argentina and a good position in the ranking… When the game will start at 2.00 am dutch time, I will be present in my new Colombia jersey and support from miles away! VAMOS COLOMBIA!!!!

I FELT THAT PROF. PINTO DECISION TO LEAVE OUT THE OLDER PLAYERS LIKE CORDOVA, YEPES,AND CALERO WAS A RISKY MOVE, BUT THE RIGHT CHOICE. IT WAS TIME TO PASS THE TORCH TO THE NEW GENERATION AND REBUILD THE TEAM. THE FIRE OF YOUTH IS IN OUR FAVOR NOW AND IT IS TIME FOR “LOS PARSERITOS” TO SHOW THE REST OF THE WORLD THAT THE COLOMBIAN TEAM IS THE REAL DEAL!!!! VIVA COLOMBIA!!!

basile has to go!!
every time argentina is pressed they collapse. just imagine if this had been a game against germany? enough day dreaming. if the goal is to be show then keep going for decades to come without a cup or, adapt to the new realities of the game and drop basile!!

I personally think that Colombia was very well off in the points after the tough games they had to play, but this does not mean that they are a good team. Nevertheless; they really need to get in shape, specially up front where they have no one to score goals, and see how they can manage a qualification…They will NOT qualify after the performance they gave during the matches of 2007

Colombia will climb the ranks very fast with such an skillfull group of players and they will finish 1st in the southamerican group, there is no question in my mind. They’re all young players with an excellent physical condition that will outplay anybody in southamerica, Argentina will have another defeat in their own turf in Buenos Aires and it will be a humilliating one.

Motta, Gio Moreno and Jossimar (not Yossimar) are awesome, and Danilson Cordoba demonstrated some brute force in the game against Uruguay. I think his speed and strength help the midfield, but you are right on Anchico. I also dislike the call up of Gio Hernandez (past his time and never really took us anywhere), Alexis, Amaranto (always fouling and messing up both on Madrid and the nats),and Arizala. However, everyone else is really really good, for the first time in a very very long time, Colombia has a world-class team again!

Córdoba has not been doing a good job in his club recently, that’s why I said he shouldn’t be called in the first place. Nevertheless, he didn’t make it to the final list.

I don’t like Amaranto neither, there are some better guys like J. Mosquera and A. Mosquera, they should be playing together but seems like Pinto is going to user Perea on tomorrow’s game.

Your Lineup is accurate. The game has just started. I want to see Rodallega. He’s been blazing at his club lately.
